Family and Friends,
We received word about one hour ago that the Judge in our case ruled that it would not be possible to get the required document by Wednesday, August 6, 2008 (read below if you missed previous email “Subject: Update on Adoption Process”). Therefore the Judge issued us a new court date of October 15, 2008. While getting a new court date issued is good news (as opposed to having to wait through the rainy season to get that date), we are obviously very sad and wishing this process were not so trying; there are not words to describe.... We now do not anticipate traveling to Ethiopia until mid-November at the earliest.
Thank you for keeping us and Jonah Zelalem in your thoughts.
We will provide further updates as we can.
On a good note, we were told there were at least 8 families that did pass through the courts today and will be traveling soon to be united with their children.
